Four Paws And A Tail, LLC was started over 10 years ago when owner and animal lover Sherri DeChaine, a veterinary technician, realized that many pet care services turned away special needs pets, leaving their owners with no place to leave them while away. Sherri later left her position at a busy veterinary hospital to concentrate on Four Paws And A Tail, LLC, after many years & lots of happy wagging tales she considers herself very lucky to be living her dream of owning a successful business and loving what she does.
As a veterinary technician Sherri’s daily duties included administering anesthesia during surgical procedures, pre & post-surgical care, prophylactic dental cleaning’s and radiology, along with all technician related patient treatments. Sherri was also responsible for hospital inventory, equipment maintenance, controlled substance inventory, staff scheduling and all back room daily activities while adhering to strict OSHA standards. Sherri has vast experience and knowledge with many kinds of medical emergencies as well as the handling of different breeds of dogs and cats.
Sherri's compassion and love can be seen in her efforts for helping defeated and unwanted animals...she is very active in rescue, and would not think twice about hitting the road for a 10 hour road trip to save a dog from a kill shelter or to spend her free time at a rescue event. She is always available to her clients and will try to answer their pet related questions. To Sherri caring for pets whether they are her own, a clients or a dog or cat needing a home, is not just something she does, it's who she is!
Sherri shares her home with her husband Brett, 3 Boxers-Ava, Java-Chino, Sampson & Bronx the Bully.

Our vehicles include a 2010 Honda Element EX with a specially equipped "Dog Friendly Package" that is ready to take your small pet or large dog to the vet, groomer or on an "Adventure Trip", a 2010 Chevy Trail Blazer, and a Ford F150 Super Crew that is ready to take on mother nature...
We do not cancel dog walks due to bad weather,

Four Paws And A Tail, LLC welcomed Lisa Vespia to our “pack” in Fall of 2010. Lisa is also a veterinary technician and animal lover who started volunteering at her local animal shelter as a teenager, she also previously worked as a dog groomer before pursuing a career as a veterinary technician. Lisa manages all of our overnight pet care in our service areas while she offers dog walking, pet sitting & taxi service in the West Bay.
Lisa's love for animals shows in everything she does including rescuing her 4 pets and she has found loving new homes for many unwanted pets that have come her way. Lisa shares her home with her husband Anthony, 2 Boxers -Opal & Onyx, along with 2 spoiled cats named Felix & Kloyee.
